We thank Lubbock and the surrounding towns for two decades in the estate liquidation business. We are your best source for professional estate sales, as well as offering appraisals of household items and antiques. We specialize in higher-end sales in fine neighborhoods. Our services include the sale of your property. We have two licensed real estate agents on duty.
Established in 1999, Access to the Past provides an impeccable service for Lubbock and area families and has an impressive list of references. Eddie Maddox, former owner, operated an upscale antique store in the heart of Lubbock from 1999 until 2006, as well as serving an apprenticeship in estate sales prior to transitioning his business into this area.
His business partner, Todd Curtis, recently took the reigns. Todd has years of experience, with an expertise in fine collectibles spanning many categories. If you have antiques or collectibles, his knowledge is critical to establishing the correct prices for your estate.
Access to the Past has credentials unsurpassed in the industry. Our reference list includes a lawyer from the U. S. Dept. of Justice, a retired FBI agent, Lubbock County Judges, doctors, business owners, and of course, many ordinary citizens.
Access to the Past was an accredited member of the South Plains Better Business Bureau for 21 years. In 2020 they raised our membership rate by 10% (inflation 2-3%) at the same time the virus shut us down. Eddie spent all his savings and deferred a house payment to make ends meet while the government had us shut down. Unfortunately, something had to go. Reluctantly, we did not renew with the BBB. We still have the A+ rating.
If you are considering any estate sales company, go to one of their sales and see how they operate. Is it professional? Clean? Merchandised properly? Priced properly? Signs up regarding their policies? Do they have a sales tax permit license registered with the State of Texas? Are they collecting sales tax and turning it in to the Comptroller of Public Accounts? Are they skilled in all areas of appraising and can identify the items they are selling?
When you need professional help, please call Todd Curtis at 806-790-5942 to schedule a free consultation. We will be happy to answer all your questions and to address your specific needs.
